Hawaii Detective & Guard is an authorized Fieldprint  fingerprinting enrollment location in Honolulu. We provide electronic  fingerprint capture, traditional FD-258 ink fingerprint cards, and  livescan digital fingerprinting for individuals who need prints for  employment, professional licensing, background checks, immigration, or  any other purpose.


Our office is at 1785 South King Street, Suite 8 in Honolulu.  Walk-ins are welcome for standard ink cards. Fieldprint electronic  appointments are scheduled through the Fieldprint website. You come to  our office at your scheduled time for the capture.

How It Works

We use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to conduct surveillance operations for personal and business  

  1. Figure out which type you need. Your employer,  agency, or licensing board will tell you whether you need Fieldprint  electronic, FD-258 ink cards, or livescan. If you are not sure, call us  at 808-726-9759 and we will help.
  2. Schedule if needed. Fieldprint appointments are  booked through the Fieldprint website. Search for our location in  Honolulu. For FD-258 ink cards, no appointment is needed. Walk-ins  welcome.
  3. Bring your ID and paperwork. Valid  government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, state ID, or  military ID). Bring any authorization letters or scheduling  confirmations from your employer or agency.
  4. Get fingerprinted. The process takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Our trained technicians capture clean, accepted prints on the first visit.
  5. Results are submitted. Electronic prints go  directly to the requesting agency. Ink cards are given to you to mail or  deliver as instructed by your agency.

  • Valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID)
  • Authorization letter or paperwork from your employer, agency, or licensing board (if applicable)

Tip: make sure your hands are clean and dry. Avoid using heavy lotion  before your appointment because it can affect print quality.

You schedule through the Fieldprint website and come to our  Honolulu office for the capture.


What do I need to bring?
